The steering and gas pedal inputs feel tight and responsive, which makes chasing those qualifying times genuinely addictive. I’ve lost more evenings than I care to admit trying to shave off a single second on the same track.

I’m still amazed this game made me feel like I was back in 1983, and the way the coin-op action ramps up in difficulty keeps me coming back for just one more run. The graphics are blocky but that’s exactly the charm I wanted, and it plays smooth as silk on my setup.

The steering wheel physics nail that old 1982 arcade heaviness, and the way the timer pressure builds in later laps actually made my palms sweat like I was back at the mall arcade. I've sunk a solid week into it and the authentic Namco polish still keeps me coming back for one more qualifying run.
